Backstage Pass: Foreign Exchange @ Sugarhill
Saturday we had a chance to hear these songs…
Sung by the guy on the left at an event produced by the kind Sir in the middle & the Lovely Lady on the far right…
Hosted by this Gentleman…
Accompanied by these people onstage…
Watched by this crowd @ Sugarhill…
The show was dope! It was refreshing to hear Phonte get his Mos Def on for a full set. (He only rhymed twice if I remember correct) Tigallo was backed up by Yahzarah & Darien Brockington. (The Ike & Tina routine was hilarious!)
I guess these folks knew it was a special night too because they had those cameras READY!!!
Phontigallo the Rap Gigolo…
Zo from Tigaloo & Zo Loves the 80′s served as the music director…
Nicolay did his thing. I wonder if he ever gets offended with Phonte calling him the N Word or if he cool with it like when Clayton Bigsby called those white boys N*ggers! LOL!
Don’t ever say “Give the Drummer some” around this dude…
Flux Da Wondabat was getting busy on the canvas & easel
DJ AMDEX (the most UNDERRATED figure in the ATL indie hip hop scene!!!)
Focus (producer for Dr Dre/ Aftermath), Phonte & Guest
Let me find out Phonte got some ghost writing checks on Detox. I’ma put this camera down and start spitting some hot FIAYH!!!
One of the coolest people I know and don’t see enough of Lois Lane & Phonte
Scenario 2008 – “Here we go yo!”
Jodine, Nicolay, Phonte, Jamal Ahmed, Jason Orr & Shannon McCullum
My Detroit homie, my ace, my co-host of The Show, Phonte and the GOrilla
Senor w/ Princess Cut (left) & guest
The guy with the orange tee on is a problem
