Breaking News: Michael Jackson Passes Away Today at Age 50

Earlier today I was leaving the studio. Inori first hit me and asked me if I was checking the news, I told him no. On my way home I called my home girl in New York, she told me people were posting on Facebook that Michael Jackson had died, but she wasn’t sure if it was true or a rumor.

While people were posting MJ had died around the Internet, the news was still reporting he was rushed to the hospital, in critical condition, they never said he was gone. Then various news sites started posting the news. I told some people I wasn’t going to believe until I saw it on CNN.

CNN historically does a great job of checking the facts before they report news in most cases. Especially since the news they post goes globally in an instant.

So as I waited, and waited to see what the official word was, more and more people started to post the bad news. And then about 20 mins later, it hit. CNN came out with the news.

Once I heard the coroners report came in, I was like damn, this ain’t no rumor. Sad news definitely. Michael Jackson was a musical genius, an global icon, and somebody who’s music me and my parents both grew up on.

He will sorely be missed. Tuned into CNN I got this screenshot after Al Sharpton spoke in front of the Apollo on 125th street in Harlem, NY.

Michael Jackson had a cardiac arrest and went into a coma he never came out of off. He was only 50 years ago. Rest in peace to the King Of Pop.
