Events: Senor Kaos & 4-Ize Are Ultra Beast Saturday May 28th

Back in 09 me and the homie 4-ize caught up to knock out a record for his Illuminated Animals project. We linked and wrote the joint together. The night we recorded it, we also recorded the song “Classic Example” which we eventually shot a video for. After that we knocked out several other joints and at this point we probably have at least 30 recorded tracks with each other. So it was only a matter a time before the two beasts combined to work on an official project. I present to you all… ULTRA BEAST!

On Saturday May 28th at the Five Spot at Little Five Points in ATL we will be performing some classic joints as well as some new joint we’ve been working on as well. You don’t want to miss it. There will also be performances by Cunninlyguists, Homeboy Sandman, and Dillon.

Foot Locker has been stepping up their marketing game lately launching their own Blog site called Foot Locker Unlocked. It’s the #1 place to see what’s new or will be released in foot locker locations. Also keeps you up to date on special midnight launches, has a gaming section, and of course you can order product directly from the site, if you don’t feel like traveling to a Foot Locker.

F.L. has been pushing this “Get Fresh Air” campaign pretty heavy for the past few weeks. The campaign promotes several newly released Nike Air shoes and features athletes Amar’e Stoudemire, DeSean Jackson and Chris Bosh. To create some music for the movement, Foot Locker enlisted Chicago duo The Cool Kids to do what they do best… “Get Fresh.” Check it out.

Commercials: Big Boi NFL Pepsi Max Ad Spot – Video

The NFL and Pepsi are celebrating the NFL-post season by bringing some of hip hop’s best artists together to create original tracks about the playoff games. This weekend’s track includes one from ATL’s Big Boi, killing it on Game Green – the Packers vs the Eagles. This video was shot in Atlanta and was directed by Hudson Dusters.

I’m hearing there’s supposed to be another spot with Talib Kweli as well.

Who’s your pick to win the Super Bowl this year???

Señor Kaos Creates Radio Commercials For “Greater Than” AIDS Awareness Campaign

greaterthan_logo_wht.gif
senorkaosgta.png

Recently I was chosen to be apart of this Greater Than AIDS campaign designed to build AIDS awareness within the African American community across the U.S. The campaign consists of radio, TV, print ads, etc.

I wrote and recorded two radio spots (one 15 seconds, one 30 seconds) that will be played on commercial radio across the country. Clear Channel Radio, CBS Radio, Radio One and American Urban Radio Network all have invested into this campaign and have agreed to run the radio spots free of charge on their networks. This is BIG deal for me. These commercial spots may only be a few seconds in length, but it shows we are one step closer in spreading the positive message that Hip Hop can still be used as a tool to educate and inspire.

… So I got ahold the radio spots, and wanted to share them with my fans, so you all can check em out.

Shouts to ATL’s own Dres The Beatnik who you hear beatboxing in the background on these spots.

Also check out this “Deciding Moment” video below that I have a small clip in as well.

Josh Smith Stars In NBA 2K11 – MJ’s Greatest Moments Commercial: Video

As a video game fan as well as a Michael Jordan fan, I’m really excited about this.

Josh Smith is back in front of the camera this summer, shooting another national advertisement for one of the biggest brands in sports alongside some of the league’s other young stars. Last summer it was an Adidas spot with Derrick Rose, Chauncey Billups and others, and this summer he is featured in 2KSports promotion of 2K11.

The commercial features Rose, Andre Iguodala, Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo. Smith is great in the spot, delivering two of the better lines. Check out the clip below to see for yourself.

It’s great to see the Hawks players getting some national attention, and if you watch closely in many of the commercials that show the video game clips the Hawks are the featured team on the court.

And what’s even bigger news than that is… THIS IS THE FIRST TIME MICHAEL JORDAN WILL BE ON A COVER OF A VIDEO GAME!!! This will also be the first time you’ll be able to play with MJ on the Chicago Bulls roster. Hence… why this video is about Jordans greatest moments. Check it out.
