The other 19 stores I understand are being kept on the low. Do you understand what this really means folks? There will only be 529 pairs available in the United States!

Making it real crazy is there will be another 529 pairs available outside the United States. Next to the Olympic VI these will be the rarest in the collection. If you can get your hand on the “baby blue” you just upped your worth potna!

Anyone who knows me, knows I don’t get caught up in this whole so called street wear thing. The brands I grew up loving PNB Nation, Nappy, Doubledown, Triple 5 Soul (the old 555 Soul – not this new bullshit), Supreme (is just waaaay to expensive now) Etc. Have all went under, and some have tried be revived – PNB (THAT NEW SHIT WAS WACK TOO, GIVE IT UP NICK!)

But with the old brands gone, it leaves room for the new cats to step up front with there ideas, designs, concepts, etc. Over the past few years we’ve seen LRG, 10 Deep, The Hundreds, Mighty Healthy, Etc…. take over the game. 

But what has been left out of the game is the cats in ATL (Fashion and Music Wise). People in ATL are sooo quick to jump on the hottest thing in LA and NYC but they forget to support the people right in there backyard.? 

And the first thing people will say is (I dont know any people who make fresh Tees in ATL???).

So let me put you on game. First things first we got my favorite OH.G.FRO – Frolab.com / OverRaided / Soupy Jones / Plush 357 / and one of my new Favorites “Street Local”

With all that being said make sure you stop by Standard sometime this week and pick up one of the new Street Local Tees. I believe there going for $28 and its only a small run of them, so dont play yourself like you did with those Atlanta Backwoods Fitteds (Subliminal Diss to those who slept and 8 months later asked me where they could get a hat from!)

I make Kool Aid for my family….I make kool aid for *scratch record*!WTF!Indeed not to many individuals can talk down on the drink of champions. I mean a tall glass of black cherry or kiwi-strawberry sets it off any day for me but the heads over at Reebok wanted to take it to another level. Teaming up with the American favorite, Kool Aid, to present a flavorful sneaker collection.

I’m not moved by the thought that went into making this creation but I am trippin on the fact the shoes will be scented. TRUE. Each shoe will feature its own “funk”. Imagine some one getting beat down and all you can say is “Son got the Kool Aid Smile!”

When we say you have to have flavor this is just the beginning. If you are hype about this then you might as well be all out with it. I know, I know what your thinking…. Hockey Kaos!?

Yeah in case you didnt know the NHL Hockey All Star Weekend will take place on Jan 26th in ATL.

Shout out to The Atlanta Thrashers who are actually pretty nice with it. There definitly a team to check for in the Eastern Conference.

If your in the city during the weekend make sure you stop by the New Era Flagship Store. They got new Hockey Fitteds in some fresh colorways!

Nike decided to start taking the best features of top sellers and make them into one sick shoe over the past year. For the flavor they combined the Wildwood, Air Max 90 and Free Trail  to create the hybrid  Wildwood 90 Free Trail.  This is an ode to the Chinese New Year that celebrates the Year of  the Rat which jumps off Feburary 7th ,2008.

Throwing up two colorways feature a laser printed leather upper. The white colorway has a white “rat hair” upper(Do we really know?), while the grey version is made with suede. Located on the heel is the kanji sign for RAT!

Never afraid to go left with a concept, Nike puts it on blast for the diverse in you. Only being dropped to select Nike Vendors make it a hard to find kicker. Take a sip of the  Juice if you want the flavor off the rip!

We are 19 days away from the last installment of the Jordan Era. Its been a long time coming but its about to be on! The Jordan 23 is set to debut and the heads are already going nuts. Of course we are use to the black and red Chicago Bulling colorways but the man isn’t co-signing them so what is the first color to debut…University Blue(Shout out to the undefeated Tarheels!)

Only 23 pairs will be shipped to the top twenty three Jordan Brand retailers. The price point is hitting you for $230. Ugggh! Suck ya teeth and prepare to drop those dollars! Jordan heads gotta get up on these bad boys!

The Good People at New Era are releasing a Fitted Hat for Dj A Trak for his recent “Sunglasses Are A Must” Tour.

Now for those you who recently only know A Trak as being Kanye West’s DJ please know hes been getting it in for some time now.

I first found out about A Trak back in 97 when he was running an indie Hip Hop Record Label called Audio Research in Canada. They released some great music (Obscure Disorder) most of what I remember only being available on 12 inch Vinyl and heard on College Radio on 88.5 in Atlanta.

Also A Trak won The DMC World DJ Championship back in 97 at the age of 15 making him the youngest person to win the award EVER!!! He was also the first DJ to win all 3 major battles – DMC, ITF, and Vestax, WOW. Dude is a true Champ.

He does a lot of other stuff nowadays that Im not really that hip too, and of course everyone knows that his brother is in the group Chromeo. But the Hat is Fresh, and Congrats to A Trak for this achievement, keep doing ya thing!

OH…. THE HAT WILL BE RELEASED AT THE NEW ERA FLAGSHIP STORE IN ATLANTA THIS FRIDAY DEC 21ST. THERE WE’RE ONLY 200 OF THESE HATS MADE, SO MAKE SURE YOU DONT SLEEP.

One of the freshest birthday gifs I received were the new Kool Bob Love x Nike Air Force One HI Premium (Red).

The shoes were released as part 2 of the Collab btwn Bobbito Garcia and Nike’s 25th Anniversary of the Air Force One. Part 1 was released earlier this year (2007) with 3 different Air Force One Lows (Check one of those sneaker sites or Google for more info)

Anybody who knows me knows I’m not one of those sneaker collector dudes, I dont have kicks sitting in glass cases in my house, When I get a pair of kicks (not matter how exclusive) you can count of seeing them on my feet!!!

With that being said special extra shout out to Nike VS for sending these my way and to Bobbito for making these as comfortable as possible (THE LEATHER IS BUTTA SOFT!!!).

I dont watch much TV but I caught this commerical over Thanksgiving Weekend. Its a new AT&T commerical of a guy traveling threw some of the worlds top sneaker boutiques Alife (NYC), UNFTD (LA), Motive807 (Austin, TX) and Solebox (Berlin, Germany). Nowadays these boutiques are big business making hand over fist overcharging kids for Nikes in the name of “Limited Edition.” Many times you can find the same kicks in these shops in some of the hood spots for $30 cheaper. Either way I thought the commerical was dope especially when I found out it was directed by Chris Robinson (Robot Films).

You might know Chris Robinson from his recent music videos Jay Z – Roc Boys, Common – Driving Me Wild, T.I. – What You Know About That, ATL the Movie, Nas – One Mic, Etc, Etc, Etc….

Another thing thats interesting is they actually rebuilt these stores in a Hollywood studio to look like the real shops!

Chris Robinson is NICE, and definitly Google him if your not up on his work.
