The phone game is getting serious. I touched on the “G “spot a few days ago and now I’m back with the business! I keep it 100% so let it be known I’m a faithful Verizon customer so Banga was truly ecstatic to see in the upcoming months Blackberry is releasing the Verizon Blackberry Storm. Allow me to do me Pusha T “Uggh!”
Okay lets tech it out.
You got the responsive touch screen. No doubt the QWERTY is in full effect. You finesse the spot in landscape mode or switch to portrait for the Suretype messaging. The screen lights up letters as it anticipates what your typing.
If you are familiar with the Blackberry then you know how it goes down with email on the fly. Words can’t describe how ill they have mastered the game with the Storm. Peep the demo on the website.
The images are picture perfect with a 480 x 360 pixel screen. 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and auto flash make me feel like submitting my work to Getty Images! With applications like Facebook and Myspace already loaded it makes sending pics to your friends a breeze.
1Gb is already available but the option to maxamize to 16GB makes taking your music catalog much easier. The built in speakers can create impromtu concert performances where ever you at.
Yeah so I’m hype about this. As more info is released I will keep you on deck with the knowledge. You can peep the Blackberry website for more on the specs.
Every where I have touched down in the past few days all I hear is the Google phone. “I’m gonna get the G1!” “Have you heard about the Google Phone coming out?” Google this….Google that. Well it has got my attention and now I want to put you on to game.
The device called the the G1 Google Phone is being brought to life through T-Mobile. The date to circle is October 22nd which falls on a Wednesday. The ticket is $179. Yes that is $20 cheaper then your Iphone. Allow me to tech the phone out for you. The G1 has a:
3.2-inch 320 x 480 (HVGA) resolution capacitive touchscreen, a
flip-out full QWERTY keyboard,
dual-band UMTS HSPA, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth.
3.2-megapixel fixed-focus camera, microSD slot (with a 1GB card provided and up to 8GB supported)
trackball for navigation
The G1 settings menu doesn’t seem to different from other devices. The items listed are Wireless, Call, Sounds & Display, Data Synchronization, Security & Location, applications, SD Card & Storage, Date & Time, Text and About Phone. The wireless section has options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Mobile Network. Everything that your average celly is equipped with. The G1 is powered by the technology of Android. Android-powered phones can run multiple applications, all at once, and switch effortlessly between them. Notifications alert you when applications running in the background require your attention.
Well on the flip side the talk is of the data plan. Every cell company has an unlimited plan but the problem is for those that get excessive with their airtime. The G1 mindset was to set the cap at 1GB and anything afterwards would dramatically drop you down to 50 kbps. After thorough reading of the fine print this was discovered. The plan becomes really lame considering they boast the $25 dollar unlimited plan. That is like going to an all you can eat buffet and after the 4th plate a mysterious lady tells you to fall back. YOUR EATING TOO MUCH!!! WTF? Either its all you can eat or its not. Same rules apply here. Unlimited or unlimited to a certain point. Suspect!! T-Mobile will have to tighten up before the drop date for sure.
Who can forget the 80′s TV Show Knight Rider and the amazing talking car Kitt. Thanks too Mio Technology there is now a Knight Rider GPS that features KITT the talking car’s voice.
As if having KITT’s soothing voice guide you to your destination wasn’t enough, the LCD display of the device also includes red LEDs that closely resemble the nav-system from the TV show. Once released, the device will retail for $270. Reminisce on a classic KITT tribute video below
