So… I heard a lot of Everyday People from Tennessee came to the show, and I even met this weird cat named Mr. Wendell who was a lil Tipsy! LOL

So tonight I went to check out Arrested Development @ The Loft. Shout out to ATL’s own Collective Efforts who I know killed it (I arrived a lil late and missed their set, but Im proud of them either way!)

So… I realized when I arrived that I had never seen Arrested Development perform live, so I was real anxious too see how they were gonna get down…. I was not let down at all.

For 2 hours, Speech, Baba (YEP I SAID BABA OJE) and Crew tore the stage down!!! The thing I’m always trying to tell people, is that when I was a youth groups like Arrested Development were the mainstream of Hip Hop Music. These cats won awards, I remember seeing Arrested Development winning Grammy’s, and performing at the MTV Music Awards, Etc. Now the mainstream of Hip Hip (if you would call it that) is Saturated with WACKNESS… And people dont understand why I dont watch award shows anymore! When real artists start winning awards, I’ll tune in…

But I say that too say… Arrested Development is still nice and it’s been almost 20 years. I respect and applaud them for still doing it, and staying true to their original vision.

I wasn’t as close too the stage as I wanted to be, so I took the pics that I could so ya’ll could check em out. Enjoy…

Thats how they say it down south. Although today is the offical Holiday, MLK’s Birthday is actually on Jan 15th.

We gotta do more to honor this dude than name the worst street in every major city after him. Couture Angel told me about this a few days ago. After watching it and laughing for a whole min, I figured I would just post it.

As an Emcee a lot of times at radio stations, Dj’s will throw out words/phrases and ask you to incorporate those words into your freestyle. Cats like Supernatural and Rhymefest are a beast at this game. In my day of freestyling I wasn’t so bad myself. I’ve never heard of this technique being used in Church though LOL! Check it out, the clip is of Common Sense (Yeah I still say the Sense part) in church on New Years Eve Freestying for the congregation in Chicago.

After watching this video I can definitely see Com incorporating a church circuit into his next tour.
