I’ve Got Mail Part 12: Señor Kaos Gets A Nike+ Fuel Band

Can you believe it’s been about two years since I’ve done a “I’ve Got Mail” post? Me neither.

Launched on January 19th, and available for sale on Feburary 22nd, 2012, The Nike+ Fuel Band is a bracelet that measures your activity and turns it into a measurement called “Nike Fuel.” In addition to Nike Fuel the device also shows you the time, steps taken, and calories burned with the touch of a button. Connect the device to your computer via USB cable adjust your settings, set a goal, snap it on your arm and your ready to rock. The Fuel Band is set by your height and weight as well as what type of activity you will be conducting.

The device syncs with the Nike+ website so you can track your progress, compare with the Nike+ community and get extra motivation. Sync it wirelessly through Bluetooth to a free mobile app, or via your computer’s USB port (which allows you to charge it, too).

When this Fuel Band was released it was only available at two Nike retail locations in New York City creating a frenzy online to purchase the device. Since it was produced in limited quantities, the Fuel Band sold out instantly as soon as restocked shipments was announced.

So that explains why here it is in April and I’m just now receiving one. If you were at SXSW this year you may have stopped by the Nike Fuel Band compound where a pop up shop was created to sell the bands, which then granted you access to get in the spot. From what I hear there was all sorts of activities from a dunk contest, to meet & greets, to some crazy performances during the evening.

The tagline for the Nike+ Fuel Band is “Make It Count” #MakeItCount. That means whether you’re walking, running, dancing, biking, working out, playing basketball, running for the subway, stay active and make it count. I’m with that and I’ve come up with my own tagline for the Fuel Band:

Nike+ Fuel Band: Cause bringing light skin brothas back in style #Counts.” … HA. I can’t wait to rock my fuel band at my next show to see how many fuel points I rack up.

I haven’t gotten much in the mail since the new year started. Going into February looks like the good people at Street Local had me in mind, and LACED me with some goodies.

You can expect to see me out in the streets and on stage rocking these joints. Check out the Street Local Website for more info on the brand.

I’ve Got Mail Part 8: Nike Air Force One – Black Fridays (Dj Clark Kent)

Ohhhhhhhh…. It’s time for another “I’ve Got Mail” section. Got my hands on the Dj Clark Kent designed Nike Air Force One “Black Fridays!”

THIS IS THE ONE SHOE THAT SHOULD NEVER BE WORN WHEN THERE’S CLOUDS IN THE SKY! Why you ask? Cause the front toe box and side panel are made out of authentic Pony Hair!!!

I got a feeling if I wear these on Bankhead shorties might try to jack me to hook up they weave!

This shoe was originally released on “Black Friday” – the day after Thanksgiving. As you can see by the autographed box 11/28/08. These joints were never available in ATL.

AND I JUST GOT THIS NEWS IN! THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL RELEASE OF THESE JOINTS AT WALTERS DOWNTOWN ATL THIS SATURDAY. If you missed out, here’s your chance to catch a pair. There’s also a limited edition Mix CD hosted by Clark Kent I got my hands on. You can catch it around the net for download.

I drove past Walters last night. There was a line stretching down the block of cats camped out. Not sure if it was for these or the new Jordans that are dropping!

Here’s some pics.

I’ve Got Mail: Read A Book Edition

100_0203.JPG

I have a habit of going to the mailbox expecting a check from somewhere. I originally got the idea from my Pastor and then confirmed it when I watched “THE SECRET”. I’m never disappointed when it’s not there because it’s an exercise in the Law of Attraction. Although I have gotten at least two checks unexpectedly before. Today however, I arrive @ the mailbox and see a square package w/ my name on it from Andy Sernovitz. I’m thinking “Cool my prize is here” (I won a book “The Adventures of Johnny Bunko” by Dan Pink from Andy’s blog)

I open the package eager to begin reading and out comes “Word of Mouth Marketing” by ANdy Sernovitz!!! Last week in honor of his 2,000th follower on Twitter Andy gave out 10 copies away. I was not one of the recipients listed. I sent Andy a quick tweet and 5 days later I get this…

God is GOOD!!!

(And oooohhhh look at the signed copy.

Foot Fetish: Is This What You Want…? Señor Kaos gets Nike Air Questo’s AF1

So last night in ATL I heard kids were lined up for the Air Questo’s (Is that even the official name of these joints??? Lol) (Questlove designed Nike AF1). Did you get yours?

A courier pigeon by the name of Curtis dropped mine off (Curtis is my Fed Ex guy Lol).

I swear I’ve seen the pictures, but It wasn’t until they were on my feet that I noticed that the right and left shoe are different. The right shoe has an elephant print, while the left has more of a Safari print. Damn… I never noticed that.

Anyway, if you know me, you know I wear what I get, I’m not one of these E Bay dudes. So expect too see me rocking these joints. Word is there retailing for about $175 to $200 depending on where you go. I wonder what Quest thinks about all this? Questlove will never admit it, But my Oh. G. Fro is a lil more fresher than his that’s word to Frolab.

Oh.. and just in case your wondering, check the certificate of authenticity. I don’t fuck with fakes… That’s word to Bruce Kilgore!
