I recently caught this on the net. WOW. Congrats for Fat Joe for dropping some pounds. This comes a week after the loss Heavy D.
I personally thought Joe would of thought of dropping the weight after Big Pun passed away back in 2000. Seems like lately artists’ health isuses have been popping up left and right. You had Nate Dogg a few years ago with his two strokes, then Rick Ross recently with his seizures, and just a few days ago I heard news about Erick Sermon having a heart attack. It’s time to WAKE up people. If you don’t take care of your body, your body will take care of you that’s for sure.
But with all that said… Once again Salute to Fat Joe for seeing the light and getting his health on track. He sits down with CNN to talk about how even though the pounds are gone, he still will be known “Fat Joe!”
After my album release party last Friday night, I stopped by WRFG at 5am to talk about my new album “The Kaos Effect.” I met Boss Bank who was in town from VA repping Rise And Grind. Also Isabel Aurora was in the place. DJ Cisco kicked out sets it off with a Heavy D tribute mix. Check out the pics, then check out the show.

Restless Featuring J-Live and Flux (Binkis Recs) leaked to the net this past Friday 11.11.11 the same day my album dropped. It is featured on my “The Kaos Effect” LP and has been getting a great response since it hit this net this past weekend.
The song is about being an independent artist constantly proving yourself, paying dues. My dues have been paid, I’ve been blessed to work with some Hip Hop legends like Phife, DJ Spinna, Large Professor, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Punchline, etc. who all believe in what I have to say. I feel like it’s time for the Hip Hop world and gatekeepers to stop sleeping and WAKE UP! This song is also dedicated to all the people in the world who work super hard and lose sleep chasing your dreams. Check it out, I hope everybody enjoys it. If you like this joint, make sure you check out the whole album “The Kaos Effect.”

4-Ize’s new single for the song “Her Girl” leaked on the internet a few weeks back, but now it has been OFFICIALLY been released and it’s ready for all the fans to purchase. If you haven’t heard it yet, this record is CRAZY!!! I was blessed to sit in on this studio session with 4-Ize, 9th Wonder, and E Jones. I watched 9th make this beat as well as several other joints that day from scratch. When it was finished 4-ize went in on the verses (as he always does). While he was doing that I crafted something for the hook, based off what I heard in the sample. The final result is SMASHING!!!
PURCHASE: 4-Ize “Her Girl” Produced By 9th Wonder
Shouts to Eric Nine with the fresh artwork.
Here’s the behind the scenes footage of the studio session. I was running the camera for this joint, and my camera skills suck, hence why the footage is so dark. Shouts to my homie Jean Tanis who edited this joint up.
New video from Common dropped last night. Song is called “Sweet.” Video filmed in Haiti. When it premiered yesterday at 8pm in order to see it you had to make a $1 charitable donation to the J/P Haitian Relief Organization. Salute to Common giving back to Haiti. People forget their still rebuilding from the massive earthquake from early 2010. This joint is from Common’s new LP “The Dreamer/The Believer” which is supposed to be dropping right before Christmas on December 20th. Can’t wait to hear the whole project.
I’ve been talking about this new joint I have featured on the new Mick Boogie “My Adidas” mixtape. Jazzy Jeff re-made Run Dmc’s classic “Peter Piper” to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the “Raising Hell” LP. I was a honor and a pleasure to get busy over this joint.
While I was writing this joint, I wanted to pay homage to the original Peter Piper (Which is my favorite Run Dmc song, next to Sucker Mc’s), but still wanted to update it and put my flavor on it. Originally I was just was going to re-write the verses and change a few lines here and there. But after listening to what Jazzy Jeff did with the beat and the cuts, I realized I had to come with something harder than that. Mick Boogie told me they needed this joint back ASAP, so BIG shouts to the homie Illastrate who came thru in the clutch and recorded the vocals for me.
Señor Kaos & DJ Jazzy Jeff = WOW!!! Honored to work with a true Hip Hop legend, God Willing this won’t be the only joint we work on in my career.

During my trip to Nueva York last month I linked up with the good people from Crazy Al Cayne TV aka CAC-TV for their web series “Spittin In The Whip.” They select emcees to drive around NYC and do exactly that Spit rhymes in the whip. The rules are: 1-You have to select a beat from this list. 2-Whatever beat you select you have to stick with it, can’t switch to another beat 3-You have to spit over the whole beat.
I can’t lie this was fun… I’ve never done an interview of this nature before. There was questions and things we talked about after the freestyle that got cut, they asked me a lot of crazy questions HA. Good times. Salute to the people at CAC-TV. Thanks for your patience, as well as Miss Al Boogie and Punchline who were waiting on me in WNYU while I was riding around knocking this out.
Salute to DJ Mick Boogie. This past week he shot me a line and asked me if I wanted to involved with this new project he was putting out. It’s a Rum Dmc tribute mixtape to honor the 25th anniversary of the Run Dmc song “My Adidas” as well as the “Raising Hell” album. DJ Jazzy Jeff re-did the beat and cuts for “Peter Piper” and that was the track I was selected to be on. As usual Jazzy Jeff KILLS the beat and the cuts. It’s a honor for me to record something over one of his productions. Hopefully this won’t be the last time we work together.
The mixtape is circulating around the net for free download. It was released on the same day as my new album 11/11/11. Also Adidas released a special Superstar 80 sneaker for JMJ. There’s only 1,986 pairs made to honor the year 1986. Hopefully all you sneaker heads got a pair.
My new album “The Kaos Effect” is released via nyc indy label High Water Music. Make sure you check them out online to keep on Señor Kaos news, updates, etc. Also you can check out the rest of the roster of talented emcees like Fresh Daily, Willie Evans Jr., etc.
