ATL. We need your help!!! Myself of some other very talented artists who represent the ATL to the fullest are raising funds / money / scratch / dinero / cheese / bread … You get the point, to get to the 2010 South By Southwest (SXSW) Festival in Austin, Texas in a couple weeks.
We will be having a couple events, one is a party and one is a concert where you can come out, have a good time, and party for good cause.

A few weeks ago I woke up EARLY in the morning to perform with Collective Efforts at NBC’s 11 Alive Morning Show / Metromix Sound Stage. We performed the song “The Dream” which is featured on CE’s new album “Freezing World” (Which Is In Stores Now).
I’ve been running non stop since in and out of town, and I’m just finally getting a chance to edit and upload this exclusive behind the scenes footage.

WOW!!! This is MAJOR. Atlanta’s own SMKA and A.Leon Craft recently performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The A.S.O. teamed up with emcee A.Leon Craft and producers SMKA in an attempt to build interest with the younger audience.
From what I hear this also aired on CNN this past Friday afternoon (Feb 12th at 12:45pm.) If you missed it on CNN you can catch it right here.
This is a very special and unique collaboration between Hip-Hop and Classic that is truly the first of its kind. SMKA was commissioned by The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to remix a piece for their “Concerts for Young People” series. The song 808 Blake created is called “Music is My Life” produced by SMKA, and it is written and performed by Aleon Craft. Additionally, Parker Smith played the guitar and Brand Dorfman scored the peice. It has been performed 20 times since October 2009. CNN covered the collaboration last week and aired the special today. SMKA is proud to be a part of this project, and grateful for the opportunity to work with the ASO.
