Airline Prices Taking Off!!
The cost is flying is going up like crazy! Why? You already know, the cost of Gas has Airlines charging all kinds of fees these days. Check the video and story below:
Delta Air Lines is imposing new or higher fees on a host of travelers, including frequent fliers, passengers traveling with pets and people booking their tickets over the phone. The fee changes, which go into effect Tuesday (April 2nd), come as Delta and its competitors try to boost revenue to offset record fuel prices. Delta did not say how much revenue it expected from the fee changes, but the parent company of United Airlines said new luggage fees would generate more than $100 million annually.
The industry has had mixed success with fare increases.Delta, based in Atlanta, also said carrying a pet in the cabin will cost $100 instead of $75, starting Tuesday. The oversize bag fee will be $150 instead of $100. The unaccompanied minor fee will be $100 on all flights instead of $50 for nonstop flights and $100 for connecting flights.
In February, UAL Corp.’s United Airlines said it would in May start charging domestic passengers $25 to check in a second piece of luggage. Certain elite fliers are exempt from that fee. On Friday, Northwest said it would begin charging $25 each way for a second checked bag. It also raised its fee for a third bag from $80 to $100. And it doubled its $25 fee for bags over 50 pounds

Winter Music Conference WMC Miami Re Cap
So right after the A3C Hip Hop Festival was over, I took a trip down to Miami for the Winter Music Conference. I was a guest of Kecia (Red Bull Music Academy) and the talented Eva Kennedy. It was refreshing to be on Miami Beach coming from Cold Atlanta. Unfortunately I didn’t take a lot of pictures during my stay. Shout out to everybody I bumped into or met while down there: Pyramid, Daz I Kue, Cosmo Baker, Dj Eleven, Benji B, Tati, and the NC Crew: Jodi, Apple Juice Kid, and Forge.
When I arrived we were greeted by the beautiful Red Bull Wing Team who gave us our survivor kits for the week, which included a lil bottle of Grey Goose, a disposable camera, and some Tylenol.
Cant be in Miami without getting a Mojito.
Inside Peanut Butter, outside Jelly. I’ve never seen Peanut Butter and Jelly Pizza CRAZY!
Senor Kaos with Daz I Kue (Bugz In The Attic)
Open Bar.
Djingi Brown was spinning at one spot.
On Wed. we went to the Red Bull Music Academy Info Session. The guest of the day was Leroy Burgess (Google him). This dude is the truth! His passion for music after 30 years is amazing, I was definitely inspired. Benji B from London was the moderator.
Leroy Burgess, Daz I Kue, Senor Kaos, Benji B
All and all it was a great trip. I wish I could of stayed longer and caught up with the ATL fam: Karl Injex, Kemit, and Salah. I’ll have more info for you guys later about the Red Bull Music Academy. The word is this year their hosting the academy in Barcelona!

“Girls Rock Too” getting Radio Play in London
Big Shouts out to Sucio Smash for hooking this up. For those that dont know Sucio was actually the person who gave me the name “Senor Kaos” a few years back, even though he and many other people still refer to me as “Kid Kaos.” Which ever you know me as, Im just glad you know my name. Lol.
So in 2007 I recorded a song called “Girls Rock Too” the idea actually came from a good friend of mine / Professional Hater Ian Ford. The song was made as the Theme for the “Girls Rock Too” event that was put together with Janelle Monae | Slick And Rose | Ms. Dia | and Dj Cha Cha Jones. The whole concept behind it was to celebrate Women’s accomplishments that have seem to gone over looked / ignored / not recognized like they should be.
I think this is my favorite song out the past 10 years that I’ve been recording music. The meaning in this song is timeless. Shout out to Johnny Euphonic who produced this joint for me.
If you haven’t heard the song yet CLICK HERE
Big, Big Shout out to Sarah Love in London for playing “Girls Rock Too” on her “The Hip Hop Mix” radio show which comes on BBC 1 Xtra TO CHECK OUT “THE HIP HOP MIX” RADIO SHOW ON BBC CLICKHERE

From NYC
Shout out to My NYC Fam. I just got back from CMJ 2007, check out what my homie Miss Al Boogie has to say about the festivities!
It was CMJ week and the broke (well we ain’t RICH!) industry glitterati made our way to an advertised Dilla tribute at an otherwise bottlepoppin’, ‘Barrrrtender’ rockin club. You wouldn’t catch us there normally, but the meet and greet there (BLVD) earlier in the week with J-Live, Primo and others spinnin proved to be transformative of the place. That night was different! Upon entering, badges were shitted on, drink money was spent on cover, and confusion ensued with the unknown DJ playin top 40, straight off Clear Channel’s sold playlist sonnn! Now some of that ish is good to me (yes, I like to Check Up On It Fool!), but we were there to have our Dilla fix! According to my sources (Lord Sear), we missed all 12 Dilla songs and a so-so Pharoah set an hour or so early. Next time we should be on time for our brief tributes to fallen Hip Hop legends!!
Some of us made screwfaces, some of us looked confused, some of us made the best of it (say Henny y’all!) Check out the various reactions below!
In our exhausted, drunken stupor we bounced and crashed the private Wu performance at 205 Club. The hipsters couldn’t tell the difference b/w Kid Kaos and J-Live and the GZA, so they were forced to let (RUSH) us in. No pics of the hilarity there! Just sweet, funny (fuzzy) memories of RZA and ‘spectah Deck freestylin….my highlight??
“keep that pussy hummin’/get a $200 parkin summons”
Thank yooooooooou RZA.
Just over here fulfillin the quota,
miss al boogie
Be sure you check out Miss Al Boogie over at myspace.com/missalboogie

And Ya Say Chi City
Chi Town, Chi City, The Windy City whatever you call it Chicago is synomous with Michael Jordan (Whos orig really from Brooklyn), Oprah, Gangs, Jays Potato Chips, Garretts Popcorn, Good Times, Deep Dish Pizza, DA Bears, and brothas who call everybody “Joe.” I hit the Chi for the DUB car show at McCormick Place, The Taste of Chicago and to see who has the best deep dish pizza. My first mission though was to shop for kicks, I hit Phli, Saint Alfred, and Leaders. Didnt really find what I was looking for, but I did Run into Lupe Fiasco at St. Alfred keep doing ya thing brotha www.myspace.com/lupefiasco.As soon I stepped out of the airport I had to put on a jacket, they dont call it the Windy City for nothing, even in July the weather was Chilly!
That night we had dinner at Lou Malnatis (Deep Dish Pizza). So far I’ve had Giordanos, Ginos East, Pizzaria Uno, and Baccions! Hmm.. I think Baccions might be the best so far, but I still have to have Home Run Inn and Pequads.
I hit the southside to catch up the homie Mike Jones (No not the rapper) whos running things for DTLR up there now, check the pic. Shout out to Seandell, and other Other light skin brothas I met! LIGHT SKIN BROTHAS IS BACK LIKE WE LEFT SOMETHING!!!! LOL.
I’ve always admired the Lake front skyline of Chicago, I think they may have the best skyline in the country, not to mention the tallest building in the U.S.- The Sears Tower! I took these pics from the Southside, doesnt really do it justice, but you get the point.
Lucky for me I just so happened to be around during the “Taste of Chicago.” – Imagine a really Big Block party with Food that happens every year around the 4th of July. All the food is bought with tickets which you purchase on your way in. Also got a glimpe up close and personal of the new Scion 2008 XB! The design is fresh and the inside is Clean!!!
Shout out to my Chicago fam, Wil Wes, Sang, and Pugzlee (Thanks for looking out and holding it down)! Doc West, Dj Rude One, Shareef and CL (who I missed on this trip)!

The City of Brotherly Love?
I touched down in Philly on May 11th. I hit the Illadelph to do some work for the Hot Import Nights Car Show at the Pennslyvania Convention Center this weekend. How is it that city of brotherly love has the nations highest crime rate at the moment, things that make you go hmm….
Shout out to Ike who played tour guide during the weekend. I went all over the city looking for the Burgandy Phillies Fitted Hat. The one they wore in the 80′s when they were winning games, LOL. Apparently there good again, cause there were no Fitteds to be found.
Me and the homie D Rocha hit the Rocky Steps on Saturday Check the pics. The weather was great so we hit the city on foot.
I caught up with my big brother M.L. Dos from Nueva York and Dj’s Cosmo Baker, Ayres, and Eleven collectively known as “The Rub” I forgot to get pics though.

South By Southwest SXSW March 16th, 2007
I’ve been hearing about the South By Southwest Music Festival since about 99 or 2000 but have never attended. Back then I used to hear about Hits, Gavin, CMJ, WMC, Rocksteady, Scribble Jam and SXSW. By the time I had a little money to travel Hits and Gavin were over. I hit Rocksteady in 02, WMC in 05, and CMJ 03, 04, 05, and 06!
It took 7 years after me hearing about it to finally get a chance to attend. Well…. I guess everything happens for a reason. I flew into to Austin, TX on March 16 2007 EARLY in the AM. I had a lot of people who I knew would be out there so I knew it was gonna be a good trip. Amongst the peoples my homgirl Allyson (Miss Al Boogie from Bklyn), Semp, Wil Wes, And my LA homies Danny, Paul Chang, Ian, Karen, and the whole Beyond Staff.
One thing about these conferences… Theres always a million things going on at the SAME TIME. I had no idea I flew in a few days late, and missed UGK and many other performances.
I check into the telly, catch a quick nap and hit the streets around noon. Within being in Austin (A city I had never been too by the way) I meet Brother K who turns to be a cousin of good friend of mine back in ATL.
I hit a meet and greet, mingled with some of my CMJ peeps (the homie Akir), and Jessica (Spectre – Who is Everywhere By The Way).
I caught a daytime party (which theres millions of) with The Rub Djing, and some free liquor (MY FAVORITE!). My homegirl Dee who used to work at 88.5 in ATL is doing big things out in Austin.
I caught a show that night with Public Enemy and X Clan performing in a huge field just outside of downtown. It was FREE and it had to be about 15,000 people out there. P.E. were also celebrating their 20th Year Anniversary as a group 1987 – 2007!!! WOW.. Its been 20 years already! I can still remember getting my first PE album on Cassette around late 88.
Saturday I hooked up with Allyson for Breakfast, Ghostface was having Baked Ziti for Breakfast across from us, lol. Then it was off to the show – Ghostface and Rakim performing live.

Saturday at Stubbs BBQ in Austin Rakim and Ghostface Killah both performed with Live Band – Rhythm Roots Allstars. The show was Free as usual. Oh.. and it happened to be St. Patricks Day as well. For half the day I just thought people in Austin liked wearing Green. Ran into the Fam: Danny Rocha, Will Wes, Semp Rok, Ian. And the show was Great. Ghost and RA Killed It!!!

After that we walked over to the Fader House (Fader Magazine) and were treated to a show with first Amy Winehouse (who was the talk of the town) and Redman.

Shout to Dj Eleven and The RUB crew – they held the city down this weekend by being any and everywhere ready to Spin. Heres Eleven rocking the Fader House on Sat before Redman took the stage.
Saturday night my homegirl Allyson (Miss Al Boogie) performed (I forget the name of the venue.) And we spent the rest of the night looking for the Vice party which got shut down cause apparently a balcony collapsed!!!

Oh… And everything was pretty much free you just needed a wristband to get in. Check my Wrist Band Game!!!

Sunday was the chill day all the parties were over and everybody was headed back home.
I kept hearing about these Bats that came out at Sundown on this particular bridge…so I had to check it out. Every evening around the same time around a thousand bats who live under this bridge fly into night in search of food. Crazy!!! I always thought bats weren’t real – growning up in the city the only bat we knew was Count on Sesame Street.
As I was checking out Monday Morning, I ran into none other than Rakim Allah in the Lobby. It was a honor to meet him, and he was actually very very humble!!!
SXSW 2007 was Definitely off the chain and God Willing I will be returning for 2008.
