Homies Over H*es
So last week I was @ The @#$%S%*Y for an after party and I’m chilling in the dj booth w/ my man DJ C-Stylez. I’m a practicing sociologist, I watch people, take notes on trendsetters and trendy people & incorporate that into my lifestyle marketing campaigns. Anyway, I’m not particularly enjoying the scene one way or another but I was there just to politic with C and my dude Tony that manages the joint. C-Styles goes into his Reggae set and I witness something straight out of a BOONDOCKS episode. The females were swaying and grooving their hips without the assistance of any male counterparts! Now don’t get it twisted there were males and females in the spot. The dudes were cool just watching the ladies doing what they do. Ok.
The next thing I know C went into his Dirty South set and the it was pure pandemonium!!! Except… the dudes were in a circle dancing with each other!!! WTF??? The females were outside their cipher while dudes were in the circle acting out their favorite video!!! :???: (Dope Music + Good Looking Women) x Liquor = Homies Over H*es
I fear this epidemic is worse than that sudden outbreak of B*tch A**ness that plagued the industry late last year. SMH I don’t get it, from the sagging of the pants at thigh level to dancing in the club with each other!!!
Does anyone know of an antidote?

DUDE. I’ve been meaning to blog about this. The same thing happened when I was at Motions for Killer Mike’s album release party. Dudes were in a circle dancing with each other– and the girls were in their own little circle. It was definitely weird and quite Gangstalicious.
