NIKE Black History Month Air Force Ones LIMITED EDITION / I’ve Got Mail Pt. 2

Back in 2005 for Black History Month Nike released the Tuskegee Air Men Air Force One Mids. (Remember the joints with the Shark / Teeth / Tan Mids).

Nike tends to celebrate Black History Month with a special shoe which sometimes is sold to the general public but for the past few years has been given out to various celebrities, youth groups, or to charitable cause. To commemorate BHM 2008 Nike stepped their game up and really got busy. This particular Air Force 1 has various Premium detailing on it and the shoe uses inspiration from African mud cloth for parts of the upper, but the difference is that on every shoe there is a different piece of a large mud cloth making each and every shoe different than the other.

THE FIRST THING I NOTICED ABOUT THESE JOINTS WERE THE BOX. THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX HAS A QUOTE FROM CARTER G. WOODSON (AKA THE MAN WHO INVENTED BLACK HISTORY MONTH / HISTORIAN / AUTHOR, ETC). I think these are way better than the Red, Black, and Green kicks they dropped and tried to call the “Black History Month” editions. It really seems like Nike hired some brothas or somebody to do some research on this one.

FROM WHAT I KNOW THIS PARTICULAR PAIR WILL NOT BE SOLD TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND ARE EXTREMELY LIMITED. BEST OF LUCK FINDING A PAIR!!! SHOUT OUT TO VS – NIKE SOUTH FOR HOOKING A BROTHA UP WITH THESE.
