NO, NO, Notorious – Behind The Scenes Movie Footage: Video

Hip Hop Heads, and Brooklynites have been talking about this movie since last summer. Well it’s release date is now 10 days away. The big question is will the movie live up to the Hype that’s being created for it? Not sure, I do know one thing though… I will be in the theatre with 40 Below Timberlands and a Northface on Jan 16th. Hell, I might even rock my still crisp Nappy T-Shirt from the mid 90′s.

I’m hoping I get a chance to check out the movie before it’s official release (Hell, Questlove saw it already, and I’ll be damned, if my Fro isn’t as important as his  )

“Check out the many NYC and Brooklyn shooting locations and behind the scenes footage & interviews with Ms. Wallace, Lil Cease, Director George Tillman and more.”

In order to re-create the madness that went down at a Biggie concert, the cast and crew of “Notorious” made sure they got every little detail right, including the clothes, the hair and, most importantly, the vibe.

For the film’s performance footage, Tillman rounded up the usual suspects that one might have seen at a Biggie concert during the ’90s, including producers, DJs, managers and a cast of actors that looked uncannily like the people they are portraying.

The whole scene was approved by Biggie’s real-life right-hand man, Diddy, who showed up to give the movie mob his stamp of approval. “All of these actors up here did a great job,” he said, surprising the crowd from the stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.

“I felt like it was important to get it right, because a lot of people have not seen Big perform,” Tillman said. “Everyone came and brought it. Every moment was there on camera: the fun stuff, the great stuff.”

Like Inori said how they end this movie is going to make or break it. I just hope they have the Mad Rapper in there somewhere.

“That Ready To Die ish, it was aiiiiight, but I got more John Blazing ish than that!”

If Biggie and Pac were alive right now and still making music, would we really be stuck listening to Plies and Pop Champagne on the radio all day?
