Remembering Jax Part 13: UGHH Interview + Jax Award

While on a recent road trip the homie Sunmner snapped this picture from his phone. It was tractor trailer with JAX / ATL on the back of it. Yet again proof that Jedi’s Always Exist.
This past Saturday night I was awarded with the Beatz And Lyrics Atlanta Independent Artist of 2008 award which has been since renamed the “Jax Award.” Def have to say thanks to Jay Force, and the Beatz And Lyrics audience for the nomination. However doesn’t feel the same not being able to dail up 404-633-*&^% and say Yo.. guess what! With that said I have to shout out all the artists in ATL who got busy in 08 that I respect including 4 Ize, Dillion, Collective Efforts, Binkis Recs, Mojo Swagger, Marq Spekt, Ekundayo, Eddie Meeks, Ozy, Clan Destined, who are all worthy of the same shine.
Here is the last Binkis Recs video interview with Jax. Let me tell you why I’m MAD. I interviewed the whole crew before this interview for Myspace TV just across the hall, and the footage never saw the light of day. I’m sure Afif and Brian are still sitting on it, along with the other classic 17 interviews I did with Pos from De La Soul, The Juice Crew, Killa Mike, B.O.B., Little Brother, Etc.
