Rest In Power To My Big Brother Jax I Miss You!

I’m a deeply saddened to deliver the news, my friend, big brother for the past 9 years Chris Thurston better known as Jax has passed away this evening. He collapsed on stage while performing at Lennys in Atlanta, and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors say he died from a Cardiac Arrest which is a heart issue.
I can’t even believe Im typing this, It hasn’t even set in yet, We were just on stage performing together like a few days ago, laughing and everything. I NEVER in a million years would of saw this coming.
Jax is one of the funniest and smartest brothas I have ever had to chance to meet.
I am keeping his family, his mother, father, big brother, nieces, Finance Lisa Watts, as well as extended family Binkis Recs: Flux, Killa Kalm, and Dj Mafioso all in my prayers.
I was going threw the I Photo and dug up a couple quick pics of the big homie and me chilling from the last year or so.
Here’s some footage from Jax’s last interview. He was in the process of working on a new mixtape called “Im The Best Maang!” I actually had just laid my verse for this song called “Add A Little” roughly a week ago.
My man was scheduled to get married on my birthday just in a few weeks November 22nd to his finance. He was starting a new life, and was the happiest as I’ve ever seen him. He was only 32 years old.
JAX… I MISS YOU BROTHA, WORDS CAN’T EXPLAIN HOW WE ALL FEEL ABOUT THIS NEWS RIGHT NOW. WE WILL NEVER FORGET ABOUT YOU!

Jax was a brilliant talent and a great guy. We will miss him deeply.
It’s fucked up…………….Jax definitely a staple of the Tru Atlanta Underground scene. Can’t take anything for granted. He called me when he was in NY in August and wanted to congratulate me on the Invizzibl stuff I had been doing and told me he wanted me to do a joint with him for his mixtape. That never had the chance to happen due to hectic schedules and me finishing up my current project,but I feel good because we did get a chance to collaborate last year on a Binkis/Broady record that people haven’t heard yet.ILLA hit me wit the bad news this morning and it still hasn’t set in. All I can say is that it’s Truly the end of an era out here.

At first I didn’t know what the tweets were about early this morning from Senor. My deepest sympathies go out to JAX’s family and friends. This day will be remembered for so many reasons. Tragic indeed, but I can’t help but think how (all be it WAY too early) it’s incredible to be able to go out doing something you love. He was a great inspiration & I was a fan!

Brotha you will be missed it’s crazy i got a call from Jax Sunday morning but didn’t get to call him back cause i was on the subway. That was my nigga one of the best to ever do this. Stay up Kaos
I just got the call this morning from my homeboy AJ who connected me with Binkis years ago and we’ve been fam ever since. Jax and the Binkis fam were like extended family and it’s sad to hear this news. He was always a pleasure to be around and definitely brought energy to every room he was in. My condolences go out to Jax, his fam (including fiance), and the Binkis Recs fam. He died doing what I love indeed but I wish he had more years to continue with his dreams. He will be missed!

I would like to thank everybody who has called me, hugged me, and let me cry on their shoulder. Jax and I actully got married 10/17 (did not feel right living together and not be married) He is at Murray Brothers Furneral Home. I am trying to arrange for a visitation/viewing for Thursday 11/6 or Friday 11/7. I will keep everyone informed of the exact date. Also try to come at to Lennys on saturday 11/8 for a fundriser time is 3-6 pm. His furneral is going to be in NEW YORK some time next week. THANKS TO EVERYBODY FOR THE LOVE,SUPPORT,AND BLESSINGS THROUGH THIS!!! STAY STRONG!!!!

for jax to die doing what he loved is a testament to who he was. he believed in life and living. he married his queen and was committed to his music. let his life be an awakening to you about yours.
