Ryan Lochte set the world record and wins the gold for the United States swimming team in the 200 meter backstroke last night winning in 1 minute and 53.94. The previous record was set by his opponent Aaron Peirsol who took the silver. The United States is definitely making their country proud in this division. Lets hope that the can continue this streak.

Michael Phelps won his sixth gold medal as he set the world record for the 200 meter individual medley for the United States swim team. Michael Phelps is the winningest athlete in the history of the Olympic games winning 12 gold medals.
