Senor Kaos’ guide to NYC in a Day.

I’m not going to front. It’s hard to keep this Blog updated and handle everything else going on in Real Life. I’m a lil behind on making this post, but still wanted to let you guys check it out. Just before the weekend I trooped up to New York City (Nueva York) for a day. My flight took off at 7:40 am. As I get on the plane before I dose off too sleep, the pilot comes on and says “There seems to be a hydrolic leak on the left engine of the plane. This flight has been delayed.” I wish I could make that up Lol. At the point I went to sleep quickly. My logic: “if this things goes down, I don’t want to be awake.”

Everything ended up being okay though, the pilot came back shortly and announced that there wasn’t a leak just a buildup or something to that nature. Not sure really sure how he worded it, but I made sure I was in deep sleep before we hit the runway for takeoff just in case.

By the time we reach NYC it’s raining pretty badly there. We ended up circling the runway for like 45 mins. This was def the longest flight to NYC I’ve ever experienced.

But once I landed everything was great. I was in town for a meeting in SOHO. I thought I was going to be late but the good ole A Train Express came threw for me.

After my meeting I walked to the Frank 151 Magazine office to say what up to my extended fam. As I got there I caught the homie Dj Synapse waiting for the elevator. Should of snapped a pic but wasn’t thinking. As the elevator hits the lobby three of the famalams get off, Caitlin, Drew, and the big homie ML Dos. I ended up eating lunch with them around the way.

Oh… So I was suppose to writing about seeing the most in NYC in a day. Heres a few tips.

—————————————–

1. Get you a 1 Day Fun Pass Metrocard. They cost like $7 and its worth it.
2. Which leads to #2. Catch the damn train. All that trying to hail a cab stuff will cost you time. Especially if your young and ethnic. Them joints aren’t stopping.
3. Catch the Express. If your trying to hit a major stop like 14th Street, Canal, 125th Street, Etc. Then catch the Express train, It’ll save you a lot of time. Be careful not to jump on the express if you have a local stop. Theres nothing like going past your stop at 60 miles per hour.
4. Your probably going to do a lot of walking. Sometimes it’s quicker to walk then to catch the train or cab. Lace up those kicks and try not to scrape em on the metal curbs.
5. #5 should of been #1 too me: Know where your going , have a plan, do all the things you need to do Uptown at the same time, then you can hit downtown and conquer that, and if your not scared you can make your way over to Brooklyn for some Juniors Cheesecake.

Godwilling I’ll be in NYC again in July, stay tuned…
Check out some pics I snapped.

It never ceases to amaze me where people will place a billboard in New York. Wherever there’s a empty wall, your sure to see an advertisement.

img_0019.JPGNew York is all about timing. As I was walking down the street, we bumped into Domingo and Steve. I had no idea I would see either on the street, so we stopped for a sec to snap a quick pick. Everybody was in “Cut a Check” attire.

At the Frank office these were laying on the ground against the wall. I wish I owned a couple of these for the House. Check the CAP piece. Dude is still getting it in with the Lucille Ball hairdo

After that I hit West 4th for a hot second. This is West 4th Street Courts Better known as “The Cage” cause of it’s small size. Lot of good basketball has happened on this court. I didn’t get to stay and watch the game. I snapped these pics during the warm up.

Like I said a minute ago. Where ever this is space will probably be a sign advertising something. Found this up in Harlem. There was a huge Lil Wayne on the other side of the street, I decided not to take a pic of that one, think we’ve all seen a lil too much Weezy lately.

I spotted this Fresh COPE 2 Piece on 125th Street Uptown. Cope is a Graffiti King in NYC. Check the Collab he did with Adidas we posted a while back.

View of 125th Street – Harlem. Facing East. Yep the Apollo Theater is still there.
Below: The homie Dj Sucio Smash. Always on the phone trying to get somebody to cut a check.

I snapped this last pic while I was in the airport. For those that don’t know, I am a New York Mets Fan. Thats Baseball for the people who don’t know. I heard about the Mets getting a new stadium, but I haven’t seen any pics of it. So I caught one myself. Not really sure what it’s going to be called. But I can def say I’m going to be said when the Mets are playing in Shea no more.
Thats Shea Stadium on the right, and the new stadium on the left. Go Mets!
