Senor Kaos travels to Las Vegas / Scion United Owners Event Re Cap

Okay so this is going to be a long post, bear with me…

And… Im Back!!! Hope you guys missed me, I haven’t had a chance to make any posts in the past 5 days as I was in Las Vegas getting some work done.

Toyota – Scion hand picked 500 Scion owners, to drive their cars to the middle of the Desert to be featured in a new commercial. People drove from as close as New Mexico, and as far away as Virgina and Maryland.

I’m not one for road trips, so luckily I got a chance to fly in! Now… One thing about Vegas is they don’t hide the fact that their about your money! From the second you get off the airplane you see slot machines in the airport. There’s slot machines everywhere, in the grocery store, check cashing spot, gas stations. I didn’t get a chance to go inside a bank but I’m sure theirs probably slots in there too!

Theres a lot of nice hotels outside of Vegas. I got a chance to check out the Maralego, Lowes, and Green Valley Resort which were all really nice.

Interesting fact: Las Vegas was built in the middle of the Desert. Theres no water, or natural trees, or grass around the place, and its GETS HOT!!! Im talking like 105 / 110 degrees Hot. It does have some great scenery though, heres some pics from around Boulder City, Nevada.

The first day I was there I decided to eat breakfast in my hotel. There was a breakfast special 2 eggs, pancakes, meat for like $3. So I ran with it. After eating breakfast and getting to work something wasn’t right, my vision became blurry and before you know it I was throwing up chunks of eggs in the middle of the Desert. I know, I know that was probably too much information. So the next day I decided to venture out and we found this cafe around the Original Pancake House. It cost a lot more than $3 for this meal, but it was the best thing I’ve had in a while!

The event took place in Boulder City, Nevada which is about 30 mins outside of Las Vegas. Its also about 10 minutes away from the Arizona State Border. I don’t want to give too much information away about the event, as it was a private function, but there was also a concert set up in the midst of everything that featured Redman, Too Short, and Flo-rida. A Concert in the middle of the Desert, CRAZY! There was also a lot of other stuff going on that I wasn’t able to get pics of due to a tight productions schedule.

There was a barber shop set up in one of the tents where you could get haircuts, and if you choose to get the Scion logo chopped in your head you were given a specified amount of money. With the way gas is right now Im not mad at none of these cats. They wasn’t touching the fro though Lol.

I didn’t get to see the inside of this tent, but I heard it was decked out pretty nice, flat screens, drinks, air conditioning, stage set up, light show, the whole 9.

After all the work was done we had a few hours to chill, so we decided to take a quick trip out to the Hoover Dam which sits on the border of Arizona and Nevada. The Hoover Dam is definitely a modern marvel, build in the 1930′s. It’s one of those places that when you see in person makes you say: How the hell did they build this??

Check out this bridge their building over the Hoover Dam. Once completed this will have to be the tallest bridge in the United States. I believe when your on top of the damn your 700 something feet above the water. This bridge is even higher than that. Maybe 1000 feet over the ground when it’s finished. Crazy!!!

After the trip to Arizona we hit up the pool party at a undisclosed location, all the famalams were invited to this one.

Lets see… you had Marcel, B Marv, Senor Kaos, Ian, Jaycen, Richard Henry, Oriel, Karen, Danny, Will Wes, Sammy, Semp, Christiana, Anton, and Voltaire. Valen took the pic, and the famalam’s that weren’t in it were: Wendy, Alan, Collin, Drew Wolf, Steve, and maybe a few others Im missing.

Whats a trip out west without In and Out burger. I dont eat Beef and they dont serve chicken so I chilled and watched everybody else do they thang. Which lead to the annual Arm Wrestling Competition Btwn Danny and Will. I captured some video of this too, maybe I’ll put it on youtube you can see it.

All in All it was a great trip, and who knows when the next time all those marketers, will be together in the same place at the same time again in the next few years. It was def a tastemakers family reunion.

Nevada is a place not meant for humans to function. It is too damn hot for the human body to thrive in. Everybody we met from Vegas was a lil off, I think the Sun is frying peoples brains out there.
