Swerve Methods V.1.2
First, i have thank Senor Kaos for invite. I was rather reluctant at first, but i realized that if i can put 1 or to people on to something new or prevent them from a a major catastrophe then I’ve done my job. That said, The name is Dr. Steve Deezy bka Steve DeNiro the Anti Hero. As not to waste time we’re going to cut to the chase and keep it moving with what i call the most relevant topic regarding tech matters, The art of Backing Up – Part 1.
MP3s, contacts, art files, invoices, or sidepiece flix. If you don’t have physical copies in your hand at some point you need to have safe copies stored somewhere other than your phone or computers. Don’t worry, I know new hard drives arent in the budget right now. And with that in mind, I’m going to drop a few options that are bulletproof, require minimal setup and wont cost a dime.
MOBILE BACKUP /// Register, create a profile (optional), login, plug your phone up and sync. Dashwire is hands down the easiest way to stay on top of your mobile info. The free service is compatible with the IPhone, Crackberry, TMO Dash all the Sprint PCS devices, you name it. Whatever info you have on your phone auto syncs with your Dashwire profile (and vice versa). Sync, back-up, and restore Dwire handles it all thru a clean easy navigate interface.
With the right configuration you can even handle all your text messaging online. Photo and video uploads? Covered. It even allows you connect to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter. All your info is reachable and managed from any computer, at anytime. Lost your sim card, erased your contacts, new phone… Dashwire is the one tool that applies to everyone that uses a cell phone.Aight? Cool. So you’ve backed up your phone. In Part 2 of the Art of Backing Up, I’ll cover how to store your files in the clouds (literally) and for no charge at all. Until then, you can direct any comments or questions to the box and I’ll reply back as soon as I can. EZ.
