SwerveMethods – The Art of BackingUp PT 2

Aight… So the first installment of Swerve Methods covered the easiest and most universal method for mobile device backup. If you weren’t scared to take your tech game beyond madden football, you found out that Dashwire is the jumpoff. Now that we’ve got you’re phone backing 24/7 we’re going to take the backup a little further with cloud sharing. With Windows SkyDrive and ADrive on deck you’ll never have to worry about loosing your itunes playlist or photo collections again. The ART of BACKING UP PART2 after the jump.

Online File Storage
If you’ve ever lost a disk or jump drive, or had your computer crash and lost years worth of pictures and mp3′s, you probably have learned your damn lesson by now. Online storage services allow you to backup your files on the Internet where they are safe from drink spills all the way down to clumsy-assness.

Now you don’t have to thank me for this now, I’ll find you when I need a favor. I’m putting you in the game with 50GB of free online storage with ADrive and 25GB with Windows SkyDrive. Thats more hard drive space than alot of people have on computers now. For the seasoned tech head, 50GB may not seem like alot, but for back up purposes…you’re getting in. Setup is as simple as signing up and BAM! Start uploading whatever you can think of.

If you know how to create folders and save files to them, you can do the same thing with ADrive and SkyDrive. The only thing is that you’re storing files online. If you really doing it you can upgrade your acct for minimal monthly fees. Cut and dry, upload or download anything you want. Watch out for your file size though. if your backing up small word documents, pdfs and photos you should breeze out. If you’re trying to upload half your big ass wave files or you entire itunes library, quit playn’… you’re stressing to the network.

That said, my work here is complete. Thanks to the folks that hit me up on Facebook and Myspace. I’ve got your requests covered. Anyone else with comments or questions just hit the box below, or you can find me on my TUMBLR page actin’ a damn fool. EZ, STVDNRO.
