The Game Vs. Señor Kaos: Madden 09 Beatdown – Must Be Two Sides…

This past Thursday I linked up with Interscope recording artist “The Game” in Atlanta to let him check out the new Madden 09 video game.
Now a lot of people have seen this video circulating around the internet (World Star Hip Hop and You Tube). I actually saw it yesterday myself, felt it was only right to post my side of the Story. Like Lo say “It Must Be Two Sides!” – Okay that’s the only time you will ever hear me quoting Shawty Lo again, ever!
So first things first, what people don’t know is I’m Marketing Rep for Electronic Arts (EA Sports) in ATL. I link with various artists, celebs, influencers, and media to introduce Madden and other video games to them. We call it VIP Pre Play. In this case I linked with Game 2 days after the game was released cause that’s when he happened to be in town.
I also linked with Stat Quo, Dj Don Cannon, Big Boi (Outkast), and others as well.
Now FYI just because I work with EA does not make me the Madden King. I play Madden casually, I prefer NBA Live over football. I was there to conduct the interview, ask a few questions, take a couple pics, get a lil video footage.
The Game wanted somebody to play with him (pause), so I picked up the controller.
In the end I got 21 Skunked and it was all captured on video.
The question is had I won the game, would it getting as much publicity online???
I think people are making it seem like I challenged him or something, so I had to let it be known the situation was nothing like that. In the end, I left him with a copy of Madden 09 on PS3 so he can continue his ass wopping spree on the road.
So far the video has generated over 20,000 views which means I created 20K impressions for Madden 2009. So like I said, even though I lost the video game, I won in the grand scheme. Do I know how to play the game or what (no pun intended).
